I try to transfect H9C2 cells that are differentiated into cardiomyocytes by daily RA stimulation. However, when I try to transfect them using Lipofectamine, it appears that only undifferentiated cells, non-CMs, take the plasmid. What is the optimal way to transfect H9C2-derived cardiomyocytes? I plan to use electroporation, would it be suitable for this cell line without losing the cardiomyocyte state?
