Hello,

I am trying to make anode for Na-ion batteries. I have no experience with preparation of the electrolyte for any batteries. NaClO4 salt are available and I am planning to use EC:PC as solvent. I have confused that although NaClO4 has been reported with some safety problems in the literature, there are many studies including the electrolytes of NaClO4 salt. I also know NaPF6 is generally recommended one.

- Could you please anyone tell me what kind of safety issues NaClO4 has?

- Is there any danger during the preparation of the electrolyte in the glove box?

- Does anyone have any recommendation? (maybe giving a step by step procedure for making it - how and for how long do you dry the salt, how slowly do you add it, suppliers from which you get the salt/solvents) ?

I would really appreciate if you answer me. Thanks!
