I am currently working on a project where we are needing to analyze pictures of foam and calculate a bubble size distribution. I was hoping someone would be able to point me towards a software that would help aid in this rather than having to count thousands of bubbles by hand. I've included a picture of the images we will be working with if that helps. Currently I've tried imagej with the watershed feature and have had no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
Hi Tal Dor-El . You might be able to use the ImageJ/Fiji plugin Trainable Weka Segmentation for your image, but I would crop your image and leave out the blurry parts at the corners of your image. You can also try enhancing contrast and/or sharpening your image before classifying your image. Once you get your classified image, you can apply thresholding and do watershed on the binary image.

ImageJ is perfectly fine for this task. What you need is preprocessing the figure, increase the contrast, balance the light. Then thresholding and using watershed will resolve your problem.
