1. Talk to your college professor.

2. Choose a topic with him/her that seems interesting to you, but don't make a decision yet: ask for time to think about it.

3. Do some data/literature research on the topic and make a decision if you are sure it is both interesting and feasible for you.

4. Ask for a different topic if necessary
