Hello everyone

I would like to improve the buffer capacity of seawater (pH ~8) in order to dissolve as much CO2 as possible without dropping the pH below 7.5 (a range between 7 - 7.5 is acceptable).

The idea is that the improved buffered system at pH = 7 - 7.5 has a higher concentration of CO2 in comparison to normal seawater at pH = 7 - 7.5.

My idea is to add some grams of bicarbonate, however, I don't know how many grams I would need. The volume of the solution is 5 L.

I appreciate all help I can get!
