Hi guys,I am very confusing that how can I dissolve rotenone in DMEM? I am doing cell experiments. when I dissolve rotenone in DMEM + serum, the rotenone can completely dissolve (no small pellet in the solution). But when i dissolve it in DMEM merely, a lot of pellet exist in the solution. the stock solution of rotenone is 100mM and I purchased it from Sigma. I do not know whether serum will effect the result. Please help me, I am so desperated.

It might be worth a try to use DMSO as solvent for your experiments. Also, when you have undissolved particles remaining in your stock solution, short sonication in a normal ultrasound cleaning bath might help getting a clear solution.
