Hi all, bit confused so I need a bit of explanation.

How do I dilute a solution, lest say I have a working solution of 200 uM, and I wish to make it to lets say 20 uM.

1M =1000mM=1000000uM 0.1M=100mM=100000uM 0.0001M=0.1mM=100uM

I am using PBS to dilute it.

C1V1 = C2V2

200 uM x V ul = 20 uM x 2000 ul

=40,000

= 40,000 / 200

= 200 ul

Thus I take 200 ul from the original stock solution add it to a tube and to have my required volume of 2000 ul of PBS I add further 1800 ul of PBS , thus creating a working solution of 20 uM.

Can you please tell me if this is correct ?
