We're students from Politecnico di Torino-Chemical Engineering and we're working on an exam project aimed to the valorization of the cold-pressed sunflower meal. One of the routes we're investigating is the recovery of protein through the extraction with an organic solution water/ethanol 70%; it would be a great loss not to recover chlorogenic acid and we still don't know how to best isolate, after the evaporation of ethanol from the extract. Our project goal is the industrial scale-up, so we're looking for a feasible method too. Thank you, you would be of great help to us.
