I have tried several fluorophores with different excitation and emission range, from 500 to 800 nm with no luck in obtaining any positive/good fluoroscence intensity.

I know that gold nanoparticle quench the fluorescence but does incorporating a long spacer (eg. PEG) able to avoid quenching?
