Hi everyone,
I ordered insulin from MCE (HY-P0035) for use in animal experiments via intraperitoneal injection, and the working concentration I need is 0.003 mg/mL. I’m unsure about the best solvent to use for dissolving the insulin—should it be sterile saline, PBS, or acidified water? Also, once the insulin is in solution, should it be stored at 4°C, or would aliquoting and freezing be better? How long can the solution be stored without significant loss of activity?
If anyone has experience preparing insulin for in vivo use, I’d appreciate any advice on dissolving, storage conditions, and stability. Thanks in advance!
