Hi. I am working on a simulation of evaporation in a capillary tube.

I am simulating evaporation of a water droplet sitting at the end of a capillary tube inside a solid body subjected to heat flux. the capillary tube is filled with water.

I am using two phase VOF model, Lee model for phase change and I have used UDF codes for source terms and latent heat.

It seems that my model does not capture the phase change properly. The liquid-vapor interface changes over time but it seems that water is just pouring down to the sides and not evaporating.

I have defined the liquid-vapor interface as a hemisphere.

In this stage, I want to merge the two phases (liquid and vapor) and use patch function for defining the interface to try another approach, However, I am not familiar with this process.

I will be thankful If you can tell me how I should proceed to do this or what parts of the FLUENT guides might be helpful to solve my problem
