Anybody has experience and can advise on how long the DNA survive in the Interphase and Phenol/chloroform phase and at which temperature? Only mention I could find in Trizol manual was overnight at 4C, but what about at -20 or -80 ? Thanks
Agreed. You should purify your DNA ASAP and get it into ethanol or isopropanol immmediately. Then it can be stored at -20C. If you subject DNA to trizol for long periods it will degrade
I have been known to leave for about 1 hour but I would NEVER leave overnight
In the past experimental operation, basically does not allow the DNA to stay in the organic layer for too long time , it seems to affect the final quality of the DNA, only in the alcohol precipitation directly into -20 or -80 O/N.
