For some reason, we need to have sodium chloride (NaCl, 0.05-0.1M) in our system. Will this affect the reverse transcriptase and block the SMART reverse transcript?
Dear Zonghan, when you're modifying a protocol, you have to validate it again. Run a few reactions with and without added NaCl and compare the yield side to side. I would not expect a detrimental effect.
