I have magnetic multiwalled carbon nanotubes in which iron oxide nanoparticles are decorated on the sidewall of MWCNTs.
I need to know the PZC of the nanostructure. I performed pH-shift titration but the results were not satisfactory, and I think they may not be reliable.
Any suggestions on how I can determine the PZC using chemical methods?

A suspension of this material must be prepared and measured by means of Zeta-Sizer, for instance. This is a common technique. As for the concentration of the nanoparticles - it can be 0.15 wt.%.
Dear Michael Nazarkovsky, Thanks for your suggestion. but it would be too expensive for me to have the zetapotential of the suspension in each pH (2-8) using zeta-sizer to see which one is the pzc. I would prefer if I could approximately estimate the pzc using a chemical method so that I can narrow the pH interval of the zeta-sizer experiment. Is that even possible or the only choice is to use zeta-sizer?
Dear Maliheh, and what about the potentiometric titration? You can prepare the suspensions and use HCl or NaOH as a titrant. Such an equipment is popular worldwide and is not so expensive. Do you need any manual of such a procedure? I can provide you it.
Dear Michael, yes I have read about potentiometric titrations. as far as I am concerned titrations are the best chemical methods to obtain PZC. would you please let me have the manual you mentioned. That would be so kind of you.

I would assume you can narrow the range by first determining the PZC of the iron oxide nanoparticles you used for decoration. Do not expect a large influence of the nanotubes. You might even do a search on literature to find values reported.

I have searched through literature and I found the PZC of the nanohybride of around 5, the PZC of Oxidized- MWCNTs are about 4 if I am not making a mistake. I will search more to confirm what I have learned so far, again thanks for your suggestion.

The point of zero charge was determined bypotentiometric titration of 0.13 wt % suspensions with 10–3M NaClO4 in a thermostated cell at 25.0 ± 0.2°С. Constant purified nitrogen flow was bubbled through the solution in order to remove CO2.
The surface charge density was calculated using theequation σ0 = (ΔVcF)/mSspec, where ΔV = Vs – Ve is the difference between the volumes of the alkali (acid) solution added to the electrolyte solution Ve (mL) (containing no sample) or suspension solution Vs (mL) (containing the sample) until equal pH values are reached, F = 9.64846 × 104 C mol–1 is the Faraday constant, с is the concentration of an alkali (acid) (mol/L), m is the weight of a composite sample (g), and Sspec is the specific surface area (m2/g). As a titrant I used NaOH.

Asif Ayub very nice video, any suggestion why you need to filter the solution prior to measuring pH? You could also use NaOH and HCl I guess if you use a solution of NaCl.
