I want to know the methods for verification of a new quality index which has not been estimated before?
This index is a combination of different quality parameters of municipal treated waste water and experiment judgments.
I want to know how I can verify the formula which is estimated?

If it is just about verification of formula, simple multiple regression would give some results. Some other statistical tests are also possible.
However, more importantly is the factors included in determining Quality Index. It will be more helpful if you can show us the Quality Index equation which indicates all variables included in the assessment.

I have estimated a new Effluent quality index (EQI)which contains subindices for different quality parameters. each subindex is a nonlinear function of that variable. coeficients in this formula are achieved from expert judjment methods.Output of the formula is a quality index of an effluent sample,and we don't have any experimental or observed data for EQI to compare with the EQI obtained from formula
the developed formula is as follow
EQI=0.0767SIBOD+0.0767ISICOD+0.088ISITSS+0.173ISIFc+0.157ISINH4+0.157ISIPO4+0.134 SIPH+0.135SITDS
I want tn know the method for verification or validation of this formula regarding that there is not any experimental or observed data for eqi.

من از شبکه عصبی استفاده کردم ولی نکته ای که باید در نظر داشت این هست که خروجی از شبکه عصبی من در واقع همان خروجی از فرمول هست. البته پارامترهای عملکرد شبکه عصبی نتایج بسیار خوبی داشت.
جای سوال اینجاست که چون خروجی مدل من یک شاخص است و هیچ داده آزمایشگاهی یا فرمول دیگری وجود نداردآیا با نتایج شبکه عصبی صحت سنجی صحیح است یا خیر؟
