No, because it will start settling out immediately. Vortex or invert just before pipetting.
How should we discard chelex 100 ? Can we discard chelex 100 freely in the environment?
Information about toxicity and other hazards can be found in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS or SDS) and this should be posted online by the supplier. I have attached a link from Sigma. You can see that Chelex 100 is basically polystyrene, a simple plastic that is not toxic.
