I want to simulate nonlinear dynamic analysis in ABAQUS and i will use "Concrete Damaged Plasticity" in my model. I want to know how to determine the value of "dilation angle, eccentricity, fb0/fc0, K and viscosity" parameters. I have found the default values from ABAQUS User Guide. But i must find the formulations of that parameters. Because i must calculate those according to my own concrete model.

Plasticity parameter in CDP model can be found by performing material investigation in laboratory. You can investigate the biaxial and triaxial behavior of your own material to obtain the exact behavior for your numerical input parameters. For more information, you can look up to Jankowiak paper about the explanation of plasticity parameter.

For these parameter you mentioned, I would suggest you use the default value first. Instead, you may want to consider how to define relation of plastic strain vs. stress. Additionally, if stiffness degradation behavior of the concrete is one of your interests, you may consider to introduce the damage evolution part in your CDP model. For these parameters I mentioned, sometime they are very challenge to be obtain by an experimental method. As an alternative approach, I would say check most commonly concrete design standards in your country or other standards that you think they can describe the feature of the concrete you simulate. These code may have some equations based on experience or other scholars' works.
Parameters like "dilation angle, eccentricity, fb0/fc0, K and viscosity", sometimes they will significantly effect the performance of your FE model in term of convergence issue, if you set different values rather the default ones. I hope these could help you.

I advise you to use the default values and you can define your concrete by using the attached file, but you want to change the value of compressive strength of concrete only in the attached file. from abaqus, go to file, then run script and choose the attached file to download the properties of concrete damaged plasticity.

Hello, Najia Saleh , i am using this file since three months but the value 0.01 of the viscosity parameters do not converge only if i change it into smaller value like 0.00001

choose file, then run script and choose my file. after that you can see concrete properties define.

In the python file you provided, the concrete tensile stress-strain curve uses a relation like fc/fct = (ect/(e + ect)^0.85
May I know the reference from which you got this relation?
I shall be obliged. I want to use this relation and I want to acknowledge it.
