I am trying to simulate repulsive force of two permanent magnets in Abaqus. I have implemented Force equations into a vdload subroutine. sensitive parameters are the center to center distance and magnets orientation. considering one of the magnets is fixed in its position, the distance and its orientation (magnetic moment vector) could be estimated using curCoord variable. The challenge is to create the orientation vector of the moving magnet for which the position of another point on the moving magnet is needed. Does anyone know how I can do that? Any other alternative would be much appreciated.
