I have defined a SDOF solver UDF for a body in which it's Moment of inertia changes with every time step.
Now I want to capture this MOI at every time step and use it in post processing to make a MOI vs time graph?
What MACRO or SCHEME MACRO can I use to get this MOI variable from the UDF in such a way that I can use it post processing.

You can use the typical i/o functions of C to write data to file, such as fprintf (for a text file, easily opened in excel/matlab/...) or fwrite (for a binary file, which is more storage friendly but takes more effort to read, use this if storage is critical)

You can save the UDF in a user defined memory. These UDMs are saved in the result file and are accessible in CFD Post.

Hi Marcus, what is the macro of this UDF? I would be so much grateful if can elaborate this. May I ask you what is the the memory location index? is it number of parameters? or the surfaces?
I need to use UDF to monitor a temperature on a surface during a transient solution in order to get temp. vs time chart. Can I save the output parameters in a file that can be opened with excel or Matlab?
