In SS-1 type (Reddy’s Mechanics of Laminated composite plates and shells or S2 type in Jones’s Book ) of simply supported boundary condition ( for antisymmetric cross ply), when Nx and Ny are equal to zero for loaded and unloaded edges, or u=0 in unloaded edges, Nx how employed to get buckle? How plate can shortening to show its post-buckling behavior when we say Nx=0 and u=0?

work done by external forces is integral in dA, Nx*du/dx+0.5*Nx*(dw/dx)^2
in loaded edge x=a and x=0 , u=0, then work is integral in dA, 0.5*Nx*(dw/dx)^2
so, were is the considering structural symmetry? in-plane, u is not zero!
