I have data from control and treated samples. For instance, catalase activity in Control sample is 2 U/mg of protein while in treated sample, this value is 3.6 U/mg of protein. How can treated values be expresses as % of control.

Mohammad Rafiq Wani You can apply the formula for calculating percent change in treated sample over the control sample:
Percentage change = (Control – Treated)/Control × 100
If the answer is a negative number, that means the percentage change is a decrease and if positive number that means percentage change is an increase. For example in your case: 2 - 3.6= -1.6 / 2 = - 0.8 x 100= - 80 ( 80% decrease).

If you want to calculate that how much % decrease or increase is there with respect to control
Control= 20 U/mg protein
Treated=40 U/mg protein
Percentage change from control= (Control – Treated)/Control × 100
40-20/40 ×100= 50% increase from control
If you want to calculate how much % your treated value is with respect to control
Percent control= Treated/Control × 100
40/20 × 100 = 200
Control is 100%
Treated is 200% double of control
