I would like to batch convert simultaneously pictures taken with TIA in a FEI Tecnai electron microscope from ".emi" to ".TIFF" format, instead of doing it one by one. I will appreciate if someone could give me some suggestions.

Would the FEI freeware ES Vision do this? I've never used it personally however. http://www.fei.com/service-support/es-vision/
I use Gatan freeware to batch convert TEM files (dm3 etc.). I can't see the emi file type as an option to open in Gatan but it may be possible?

TIA is ES Vision. You don't see the emi file type in the Gatan software because EMI is a FEI TIA proprietary file.

you have the folder export function in TIA to convert files in jpg, TIFF,bmp etc.... Just open TIA offline and see if you have the tab Folder Export on the left menu were unary Proc. binary Proc. Automap. is located. If it is not there go to the menu tools/components and press install and enter folderexport.wsc By doing so an new tab called Folder export will be added in the list of functions on the left side. By defining the settings you can do a batch conversion of TIA files in a folder defined.
