I am currently doing research on bile acid metabolism and oncogenesis, migration and invasion of gallbladder cancer. Currently, we doing experients based on gallbladder cancer cell lines such as NOZ, GBC-SD and SGC996 cell lines. However, some influence of drugs or bile acids on gallbladder may be better studied based on normal or precancerous cell lines. Now, there was no normal Gallbladder epithelial cells available.
So how about to establish a normal gallbladder cell line?
Do you have similar experience or opinions on this work?
In order to maintain the in vivo phenotypes, I think it is better to induce organoids using Matrigel and EGF rather than to establish the single clone-derived cell line.
We have isolated a continuous bile duct cells (but from mouse), paper is attached. They are not cancer or transformed cells but were isolated from a condition that induces hyperplasia of the bile ductular system. The paper also includes some 3D culture conditions. I can share the cell line (although not sure whether we would be able to ship it internationally....).
