I am trying to simulate a triaxial test on a rock that has different materials properties.
My target is to prove that by increasing the number of cells in the model, I will get more accurate results.
I have a cube and I want to divide it into a specific number of cells like in the images( 125, 1000 cells ... etc )
Is there any way to divide the cube into a specific number of cells automatically without doing it manually by partition, or is there any way to assign different materials properties immediately without partitioning ?
Hi Mahmoud Khadijeh , I have done something similar but using TCL-TK scripting in Hypermesh for automating. It was quite an easy task to mesh and assign different material properties for different cells. Afaik you will have to write a script for this case also.
You could try to achieve this by temperature dependent material properties and a pre-defined temperature field.
You could do it using the macros Abaqus.
You'll have to record a partition and whatever you want to do automaticlly, and then modify the recodred script (in Python).
