I have to use the SUMO protease to cleave the SUMO protein from my recombinant protein. After that I will put in contact (ice, one hour) the product of the digestion with the resin resuspended in a buffer. Next, it will be centrifuged and the protein will be in the supernatant.

I would like to know if when I will put in contact the digested product with the resin, it will be necessary to inactivate the enzyme. How can I do that?
