I'm trying to analyze a plant-insect interaction data set from a functional point of view, focusing on the architecture of the inflorescences. Do you know of any previous work in which inflorescences are classified from this point of view? For the Asteraceae family I have found the division between rayed / rayless and homogamous / heterogamous, but it is not common in the literature.

Is it a field to explore or a bad approach?

I'm also interested in the functional classification of beetles in terms of pollination. I have found a lot of literature for other orders (Hymenoptera, Diptera etc.) but not for Coleoptera.

Thank you very much in advance, I'm looking forward to reading your opinions!
