Hello Alison Chaves my lab at UC San Diego is having the exact same problem. Could you please provide a few more details on how you were able to fix this issue on your instrument?

Hi Benjamin Spiegel, in our case the problem showed up with unexpected shutdowns. The problem was solved doing the following: 1. We diligently reassembled the LIT and all the cable connections. 2. Removing the lid on the side of the FT you will find the cold ion gauge with a black cable connected. In our instrument this cable was not tight attached. When we sprayed some WD-40 for electrical contact cleaning and tighten the connection, the electronics started normally and the problem was solved.
