I'm wondering if there would be a way to join 2 PCR fragments together

Probably won't work with Overlap PCR, and here's why:

I want to see if there would be any effect by methylation of a gene region.

But we know that commercially available Methyltransferases (e.g. from NEB) will methylate every CpG site in the region.

So I'm wondering if there's a way to connected in-vitro methylated PCR products (so that will be PCR amplification followed by methylation) to normal PCR products

Any insights?

Thank you very much!
