I'm doing FITC labelling of some bacteria but my % of labelled bacteria is so low, up to 30%, in the best of the cases. I would like to know someone else's experience? Thanks in advance!!!!!!
How are you calculating the percentage of FITC labelled as 30% ? I assume you have added FITC to bacterial suspension, incubated, centrifuged and removed the supernatant to check unlabelled FITC. If so, that may not be the correct way of quantifying percentage of bacteria stained. Share your protocol in brief?
