Researchers have different pH which often does not match with the society

It all depends on the personality of the index researcher whether his research activities make or mar his relationships with friends, families, religious and other social demands.
If the individual believes in research as a booster of morale both academically and psychologically, he should equally accept it as an enhancer of social relationship.

Love limits the the thinking process and somebody with limited thoughts can't be a researcher.
i don't think the terminology "love for people and love for research" is a correct one and so there is no comparison between them. It can rather be said that "thirst or hunger for research and love for relatives". When such is said then it is all about managing yourself.

No, research is not at all a form of recreation for lonely-hearters... this would be the end of scientific research... Our passion for research does not substitute human love.
We should differenciate between the effort of pragmatism that is needed to endure the «passion» for our work, and our emotional side of human beings...
Of course, the time consuming experience that is needed for accurate scientific research may interfere with the success of our emotional life, because we are so often absent. But my experience tells me that this will help select the best companion that is the one who endures and respects our absences and corresponds in the best of ways.
This question is all about the individual character of a Person (including researchers) and the distinction between quantity and Quality especially of spend time. If i am together with someone (collegue, friend, wife, Kids) for one hour and i have the tendency to not really communicate by words and Actions but to stay within myself (and maybe the interaction with a book, PC or iPhone), so my life is rather limited. But if i can fill even a short time with someone with a tense atmosphere of loving Actions and communication, then everybody stays with a good Feeling after that.

No, I do not believe that. I love my relatives and parties as number one. Any research that I do is number two since my research is my job. If I loose it, I can get another one but when i lose my relatives and parties no one on earth can replace them.

Does love limit? It inspires.Only thanks to love of people we are able to create.When my dearest friend-my Dad was alive,I ran home to see him and look after him.I wrote at nights and was happy.My Muse was near me.Besides,feedback is very important, when your dearest and nearest admire your work and are proud of your success.Even bureaucracy can't kill your inspiration,if only one friend supports you.Indifference or jealousy of the nearest cause apathy of a researcher.
I agree with Irina Pechonkina. Love is always an inspiration: love for knowledge and love for family . They are not inversely proportional. Each one plays its own role. I am never lonely when I am alone, If I am researching. Of course, family goes in first place. Nevertheless, research is always requesting demands in its own agenda. I need both.
Those who have a passion for research are also ordinary human beings. They have emotions and express them. They prove good friends, husbands/wives, and care for family and all those who deserve their love, affection, friendship.
One never forget that an individual is a member of a society and he should maintain balance between work and societal obligations.
Work-life balance and its management is very essential for a good life!
No, I do not see the inverse proportion at all. Although here has been weeks which I had to work more than usual. But in general, family comes first.
A good work-life balance is one in which we work to live, not live to work!
Love opens our minds to work as well as the increase of our relationship with other relatives or friends, but not with the parties. There are frequently sensitivity between researchers and the parties were no goals and are frequently temporary and utilitarian.

Parties is a little out of the category up on which passion for research can be compared with, but love for family and relatives is. The relation is not I will say as such inversely proportional but some what linear but with a negative slope that stays non negative and not sharply turning in to zero as inversely relations indicate but gradually( meaning the most dedicated and passionate researcher has almost zero love interests - which I doubt and not the case)
However love of a human being has to augment the tremendous urge research demands and needs, research has a grandiose purpose for society and science, the very reasons it makes us submerge in it passionately while love has only personal emotional comfort only for the partners in love.
But some people had that experience of staying away from loved ones and family members and due to that absence members suffer some kind of psychological damages and results in dysfunctional family. This is not only specific to scientists but also to dedicated and passionate politicians and other people of public position that requires such devotions.
It has been said that Abraham Lincoln, the president of USA was said to be one of the passionate American politicians and was absent from home most of the time and he did not provide necessary presence and fatherhood to his children and his wife for that matter. Then one time he was asked why he was not a good father to his children, while he was president and he replied " If I had done that I would not have been the president" showing the absolute skill and passion time management demands to be at both places of importance.
Agree with Prof. Roland. No Condition, but, sometime, love for research is inversely proportional to love for relatives and parties.
I disagree. First I believe that love is NOT a "plus-minus thing" love is only "plus", second, I also believe that less time or absence makes the love grow fonder.
First stage in life, you have all the energy and time for love, but you don't have the money.
Second stage, you have all the energy and money for love, but you don't have the time.
Last stage, you have all the time and money for love, but you don't have anymore the energy.

It should be right, as it is a trade-off relationship. Like control system, which is my field, the relation between system performance and system robustness. Then you have to make a balance between them based on your system requirements. If you do so then you control system is very good. I think this case is look like your question.
