I usually transfect MCF-7 cells using HiPerfect (qiagen) for miRNA mimics/antimiRs. This time, i would like to try another transfection reagent cheaper than HiPerfect. Do you have experience using iN-fect™ intronbio for miRNA transfection?
At the beginning of the miRNA work, I tried with Lipofectamine 3000 to transfect miRNA mimic & inhibitor in MCF7/ MDA-MB-231/ T47D and In my experience, I SUCCESSFULLY FAILED TO DO SO.
Lipofectamine is not at all efficient to do so where in lots of published papers it says using lipofectamine they transfected. Upon that company people will say try RNAiMAx from thermo it will work.
Here, No, I have not used iN-fect™ intronbio but after failing many times, we come to know about POLYPLUS interferin transfection reagent which wonderfully works for miRNA transfection in cancer cells.
Polyplus is France company, we got that product at Rs. 24000 (~US$ 327; based on very latest exchange rate) in India. Now, you can compare the price with iN-fect™ intronbio, since I don't have idea of price of the same.
Now with a experience, I am boldly recommending Polyplus Interferin for miRNA transfection.
