Is there a good database for immortalized human cell lines? In particular cancer cell lines?
Many times I need to look up attributes of a cell line; size, protein expression, doubling time, etc. But this often requires me to dig through literature or estimate from other measurements. If there were a resource (like ProteinAtlas for proteins) but for cell lines, that would save me a lot of time.
ATCC has something but usually the information is limited.

I had a need for such database but didn't find any.
We should build a community cell line database. Probably, starting from literature and then updating by researchgate members.
This is a good resource for finding expression of a certain gene across cell lines:

It's based on CCLE, the cancer cell line atlas. You can select cell lines based on cancer type, etc.
But it won't show you size, doubling time, etc.

Go to protein atlas website, and search your target gene. Then you can find the entire information about its expression in RNA and protein level in tissues, cell lines and also in different diseases.

Cellosaurus is a database that is attempting to catalogue all cell lines used in biomedical research.
I think it is just now taking off but recently a journal required me to catalogue my cells here before I published with them so I think it is becoming more widely used.
