You are going correctly. Select cds in the features, followed by selection of the Specific spans, then add the nucleotide number spanning the gene and add a description of the gene then submit. follow the same process for evrey gene

You can add the features by completing input form and define each gene. However, alternatively, you can submit the complete viral genome by sending email to GenBank submission at [email protected]. This would be much easier.

I have used "Sequin" software developed by the NCBI. This software contains “Sequin Help Documentation” part, providing a basic overview of how to submit sequences and detailed instructions for entering information. Thus, you can refer to these links even if you are submitting the sequence through some other ways:

Shirin Parizad im using bankit for seq submission and im stucked at feature step. what are the nucleotide interval spans of a partial seq? need guidance
