Hello everyone,
When I am doing the dynamic analysis for a frame using ANSYS, I found that when I use bar element or beam with only one division, I got approximately the same result, but I increase the number of elements in the beam, the resulting change dramatically.
I am trying to understand how the program deals with it and the reason for this big difference?

Bar element is an axial element (takes axial load, think of a truss menber).
In case of loads such as bending, shear, unsymmetrical axial load you have to go for beam element.
