I am implementing a routing protocol in MANET
and I need to send a beacon to collect data a bout the current network before starting sending a route request could you please help me
the data i need from the beacon is the number of nodes in the network, average energy for all nodes, size of the network, average speed of the nodes.
There are a number of frameworks like ns-2, JIST/SWANS in which you can implement manet and the feature you are asking for. Please explore the documentation of these frameworks.

you should explain more about how the beacon works (how to checkout all nodes).
you can create your own beacon type, or modify the existing packet as HELLO packet, and add new fields (number of nodes discovered, the sum of speeds, sum of energy ) and update beacon packet at each intermediate node.
I want to share with you my idea how you can send Broadcast beacon. First of all, all routing protocol must go through initialization state which may take certain seconds. In the initialization state,
1) create your routing packet broadcast beacon header such as the following:
