I am being asked to provide polyphasic studies to name a new bacterial species, however, I have already provided the whole genomic sequence together with some comparitive genome analysis and some basic phenotypic observations. According to recent literature, I do not have to have poly-phasic studies to describe a new bacteria !

Any thoughts on the this matter greatfully appreciated.
