Are there any references to the maximum pH levels tolerated by strain S. coelicolor M145 ?
Normally, the optimum pH for growing Streptomyces is 7.8. Otherwise, you should make optimization.
Dear Gerry
From my lab results pH 3.0 the survival will be more than 60% for most of Streptomyces
Thanks Belal
Did you test a top level , ie high pH ?
you are welcome
maximum pH we tested is 7 because our applications are all related to foods so we test the range between 3-7 less or more
at low pH streptomyces will form clusters by the way
best of luck
