Is there a way to regenerate streptavidin magnetic beads? I am guessing no because i am guessing when i elute i break the interaction between my biotinylated peptide and the protein not between the biotin and the streptavidin right? do even after elution the biotin might still be bound to the streptavidin?
But i am happy to be wrong. is there a way to regenerate these beads?

In any such experiment where these are used, what is more important/critical? The biomolecule which is being eluted/filtered or small saving (monetary/material) by reusing the beads? Any kind of filtering or regeneration is not absolute and always have some carry over. With reusing the beads, you surely are risking you experiment.
IF you're looking to use the strep-avidin system in a form that is regenerable, then you will need to use monomeric avidin magnetic beads. The avidity is still strong, elute with 2mM Biotin and then regenerate the beads with Glycine-HCL pH 2.8.
