I want to do tumorsphere assay with MDAMB231 it is usually grown in L-15 or RMI 1640 media. So, do I need to prepare cancer stem cell CSCs specific media in L-15 or can I use CSCs media prepared in DMEM?
Yes, you can grow this cell line in DMEM .
I am culturing them in DMEM high glucose and they are doing perfectly fine. Best regards!
Hi Heena * If you like to have a standradized solution, you could use this one, too http://www.promocell.com/app/uploads/2018/01/C-28070.pdf
Good luck with the experiments!

Hello, I have isolated cancer stem cells from MCF-7 cells. I want to characterize these cells. Is there any option available other than FACS? Can we do it with PCR or western blot for markers of CSCs?
