I want to study knockdown of a gene in cell. we are planing to buy it from sigma I have chosen the vector with shRNA insert but I am not able to understand how to choose scramble for this . Further are there GFP tagged pLKO1 vectors.
If we buy bacterial slab for this vector can we further isolate it from bacteria and use for transfection in mammalian cells?

Here you have attached the shRNA Control Vector that you could use in your particular case. It is a lentivirus plasmid vector. The vector contains an shRNA insert that does not target human and mouse genes, making it useful as a negative control in experiments using the MISSION shRNA library clones. It is also from Sigma and designed in pLKO1 vector.
