I would like to transfect the mimic miRNA into the cells. And I have some questions.
1. Is the Lipofectamine 2000 suitable for mimic miRNA transfection?
2. Does anybody has the experience in mimic miRNA of invitrogen, is it good?

Hi, this is correct miRNA can be transfected with lipofection reagents and efficiency will be dependent on the cell types, the transfection reagent, cell culture conditions, miRNA quality etc. Depending on the cells, DreamFect Gold, Lullaby, NeuroMag have worked for your applications. Lipefectamine-2000 can transfer DNA and siRNA , so it may be not perform as well as in transfering the miRNA(65%~70%) , because the lipe2000 system was optimized for plasmids(which means the DNA(>90%)).
So if you have enough budget, the Lipofectamine® RNAiMAX should be the better choice you can try.
Yes, you can. Al transfection reagents vary in transfecfion efficiency for the payload and the host cell - it is mostly emirically determined for the system.

Lipofectamine 2000 is primarily used for delivery of plasmid DNA, but it also works well for delivery of siRNA and miRNA mimics (and of course co-delivery: reporter and mimic). we've done many successful experiments with mirVana miRNA mimics in misc cell lines- delivered with Lipo 2000 and RNAiMax.
Hi, I´m also interested in transfection of mirVana mimics with the RNAiMAX Transfection Kit, do you have any experience at what time after transfection you had the best rate of target gene regulation? So at what time after transfection did you harvest/stimulate?

Yes, it can work, but probably better with RNAiMAX..
@Ann-Kathrin: keep in mind that transfection is also achievable with many other cheapest reagents. Why not trying a product manufactured in your country like our Viromer BLUE/GREEN?
