I was performing tricine SDS-PAGE to know the molecular weight of Bacteriocin.
after finishing the electrophoresis I transferred the anode and cathode buffer seperately and kept them in Amber color bottle at 4•C.
next day I observed some haziness in Cathode buffer.
should I reuse the Cathode buffer for next SDS-PAGE performance.
You have to keep the solutions at room temperature. And yes you can reuse them. The anode solution I use it many times, the cathode solution I only use it thrice. I do not prepare 10x solutions just 1x.
some time buffers get hazy due to the poor quality of water and chemicals. check your water quality and chemical quality. and you can use the buffers multiple time as mentioned by Omar Gonzalez Ortega.
I would have recommended the same answer as Mr. Omar Gonzalez-Ortega suggested.
