Can distinguishable proteins visible with fluorescent microscopy be used to taxonomically group and distinguish nematodes? Let nematode_1 have two fluorescent proteins and nematode_2 have two different fluorescent proteins.
1) Can inferences be made that nematode_1 and nematode_2 are of a different species?
2) Say the locations of where the fluorescent proteins are found in the two nematode bodies are visually distinct can one infer nematode_1 and nematode_2 are of a different species?
3) Completely impossible.
There is a lot of flatworm data using common stains such as actin, tubulin, and nuclei staining to differentiate morphology to aid in identification.
