Hi everyone!

I'm working with cultures of two C. albicans strains and one of them (ATCC 10231), which was a gift from a partner lab from about 6 years ago has lost its ability to form biofilm. I need to include this in my results to justify why I could only do biofilm assays with the other strain. I'm trying to find a record of a similar phenomenon in the literature.

Do you know about any paper or piece of news about a microbial culture that changed its phenotype (or genotype) for no apparent reason?

Thank you in advance!
