what you can do is to transduce HEK 293 cells using EBV EBNA for similar effect.

I would like to ask you why in some researches they transfect 293T cells ( Hek cells ) with plasmid. What is a point of this ? Encapsulation maybe?
Yes this cells are excellent for virus production. additionally you can produce high amounts of various recombinant proteins, due to the high tolerance to ER stress by 293t cells

As Pinchas already mention 293T cell line is often used for virus production. It is also may be used for plasmid function assessment, because it is highly transfectable.

Hi stepfen, as stated above by others due to the less sensitivity for apoptosis as well as ER stress, these cells are excellent factories for making viral particles. Again most of the cases for transient transfection experiments people prefer HEK 293T because of its higher transfection efficiency (Generally 80-90%).
