When we provide bias voltage, due to electrostatic force the membrane gets displaced towards electrode/s, but how to check the elastic recovery forces of membrane, i.e., will the structure returns to its rest position whenever we release the voltage

if the elasticity is such to accept this force no problem. Else on prolonged application of force, it may loose its elasticity and finally its permiation
