I am currently doing immunohistochemistry to look at a membrane antigen, on fixed embedded samples. I want to amplify the signal (low) I am getting, and was wondering which kind of amplification method was the most powerful: HRP polymer secondary antibodies +enhanced DAB? tyramide?

As you said, use of HRP polymer secondary antibody is a good idea. In addition, there are some commercially available IHC signal boosters.
I recommend you to study trouble shooting guidelines of IHC. For example using sodium azide may attenuate the signal by the effect on HRP structure and function.

Also, are some commercially available HRP-polymer antibodies better than others? Do you have any experience with the Vector Lab Immpress system for example ?
