I'm working on the synthesis of MOFs around gold nanoparticles but every time during the addition of MOF precursors, there is a precipitation of the particles after a certain time. I thought at first that it could be related to the decrease of pH upon the addition, but even by maintaining the pH the particles keep precipitating.
Do you have a idea of what could be the reason?

Have you synthesized your MOF without Au NPs to see if the same problem occurs. This might be a
good idea.
Dear Thibaut Le Huec , have you analysed your precipitate by PXRD to see if its MOF precipitation or MOF precipitation around Au NPs or the ligand etc? Along with Mohammad Kooti 's suggestion, this would give an idea of what is happening. Au NPs solution is coloured right, is the solution coloured after precipitation?
Thanks for your answers Anita Justin and Mohammad Kooti . I will try to synthesize the MOF itself or to do PXRD with my precipitate.
In my case, the solution is red at the beginning, then turns to pink upon the slowly addition of precursors and becomes colorless when the precipitate is formed.
