Planning on doing some Bluo-Gal staining on tissue and subsequent analysis by electron microscopy. 1 gram of the Bluo-Gal reagent from Gold Biotechnology is ~100$, about 25% of the cost of Bluo-Gal from Invitrogen or Sigma (~400$). I want too save money, but I need very high quality staining, so I don't wan't to get it if it is inferior for some reason. According to their purity analysis by HPLC it is actually more pure than the stuff from other vendors (>99% vs >98%). Anyone with experience using this product? Thank you!
