These promoters are all strong promoters. The expression level probably is more limited by the capacity of the expression machinery of the cell, rather than the efficiency of the transduction.
You may see a very different picture if you use a weak promoter. Or maybe use a lower viral load?
Aidas Nasevicius Thanks for the answer. I was just trying to make up my mind of whether to use a CAG or a CAAG promoter. Apparently, CAAG enriches the longevity of the expression but for shorter expression periods, I don't suppose they both would have any significant difference. Or am i wrong?
Most likely there would be no significant difference. However, it may be a good idea to try both - just in case. If there is no difference, I would use the shorter one.
